Staff at a care home in Sussex have waved union jack flags as they welcomed home a war veteran who travelled to France without telling them.

90-year-old Bernard Jordan was reported missing on Thursday night.

He'd gone to Normandy for the D-Day commemorations, after missing out on a place with an organised tour.
