There have been fresh disturbances in Belfast this evening.
The PSNI says they were sparked after a missile was thrown at police lines in the Rutland Park area of North Belfast.
Earlier today, Sinn Fein confirmed that Ardoyne MLA Gerry Kelly had contacted Mervyn Gibson of the Orange Order to talk about the parades issue - after three consecutive nights of violence in the city.
The violence followed a decision last week by the Parades Commission not to allow the Orange Order march through the Nationalist Ardoyne on the 12th of July.
The device thrown this evening was reportedly packed with nails and detonated after hitting an armoured vehicle.
It's understood it came from a nationalist area during a loyalist protest against a decision to ban an Orange Order parade.
There are no reports yet of any injuries.
Father Gary Donegan from the Holy Cross Church in the area has condemned the attack this evening.
