While making it to the track and field events at Rio 2016 might just be a pipe dream, any armchair pole vaulters out there can now experience what it’s like to propel yourself in one of athletics’ most extreme disciplines.

Allison Stokke, an American athlete, strapped a GoPro camera to her head and launched herself over the bar. All in a day’s work for her, but it gives the viewer at home the chances to get a glimpse of the sport from the perspective of its practitioners.
