The Environment Minister says he wants the new board of Ervia (formerly Bord Gáis) and Irish Water to make the issue of bonuses at Irish Water a top priority.
Alan Kelly admits that bonuses are a major issue in how the company is perceived by the public.
The Minister met with Irish Water CEO John Tierney in Leinster House this afternoon to discuss issues surrounding the company.

Earlier, a Fine Gael TD said he would be in favour of extending the fixed rate on household water charges.
The so-called 'assessed charge' is being applied to homes without a meter, but at the moment, nobody who has a meter will pay any more than the assessed charge for nine months.
It is understood an extension is being seriously considered, although it is not yet known how long it could be.
