Last Friday, US Senator Richard Blumenthal was part of a group gathered at a Connecticut train station to discuss the importance of train safety. Little did he know he was about to be part of an impromptu case study of why care is most definitely needed when waiting at a station platform.
In what might be a perfect example of accidental timing, a man giving a speech explained "safety, as you know, is paramount" just as a train approached the platform at some serious speeds. The results must be seen to be truly appreciated.
Particular mention goes to Blumenthal himself, who was standing nearby and effortlessly saved the informative display that was in serious danger of getting blown away by the force of the passing train. Such valiant efforts ensured the speech's message was well and truly delivered.
