Gardaí say a body has been found in a second car which has been located during a search of the River Lee in Cork.

The alarm was raised after members of the public saw a car enter the river beside Lee Rowing Club, at around 6am.

A search co-ordinated by Valentia Coastguard located the first car.

A second car, with a body inside, was found a few hours later.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
