Football's governing body Fifa will be the focus of a new exhibit at America's National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement.

The ‘Beautiful Game’ Turns Ugly will be on permanent display in the Mob Museum in Las Vegas from September 1.

“This exhibit is ripped right from today’s headlines about the globe’s most popular sport,” according to the museum's executive director Jonathan Ullman.

“To our growing number of visitors from places like the United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil and Italy, the Fifa scandal provides an especially resonant example of the different shapes organized crime can take.”

The exhibit will educate visitors on the organisation's “kickbacks, secrecy and match-fixing... through photographs, media clippings and cover stories and expository narrative.”

Fifa's latest scandal began earlier this year when 14 people, including nine top officials, were indicted on corruption charges by the US. Lon-time president Sepp Blatter announced he would step down shortly after being re-elected on May 29, though has yet to actually resign.

The museum has proved a popular attraction already, attracting 800,000 visitors since its launch in 2012.
