A father from the United States is suspected of killing his five children and dumping their bodies in another state, according to police.

The man in question, Timothy Ray Jones, faces multiple charges in his home state. According to the Associated Press, he was arrested on Saturday on unrelated charges.

Jones is believed to have killed his five children in South Carolina before dumping their bodies in Alabama and fleeing to Mississippi.

After his arrest, Jones reportedly led the police to the site where the children were found wrapped in plastic bags.

The children ranged in age from one to eight years. They were reported missing by their mother on September 3^rd.

According to Time, police have not released details about how the children died.
