Up to 30 Irish runners are expected to take part in the 2014 Boston Marathon later today.
Three people died while hundreds of others sustained life changing injuries, after two bombs exploded at the race finish line last year.
Irish runner Bob Hilliard from Clonakilty, West Cork was there when the first bomb went off.
