Two women have been killed in road crashes in Kerry and Louth overnight.
A woman (59) died in Kerry General Hospital after a two vehicle collision at Ballynane in Annascaul at 6:40pm yesterday evening.
She was a passenger in one of the cars - while a woman (58) and a man (39) who were driving the vehicles were also taken to hospital for treatment to non-life threatening injuries.
Elsewhere a woman in her 20s was killed in a collision in Co Louth shortly after 2am this morning.
She was driving a car which crashed on the Main Street of Castlebellingham, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to both incidents to come forward.
