Gardaí investigating the assault of two teenage boys in Co Meath have arrested two males in their teens.
They were arrested on Friday in the Balbriggan area of Dublin and are currently being detained in Ashbourne garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The incident happened on November 5th in Gormanstown.
Gardaí say they responded to a call of a disturbance on the road leading to Gormanston Railway Station.
Two 17-years-old boys from Laytown reported being assaulted and were treated at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
They were allegedly assaulted by a large group of men.
The alleged attackers were described as both black and white youths, and they were accompanied by women who witnessed the assaults.
They boarded the train in Balbriggan Station and got off at Gormanston Station.
Gardaí say the investigation is continuing.
