A man has died and another is seriously injured after a shooting in north Dublin.

It happened at around 7:30pm this evening at a sports centre in the Applewood Close area of Swords.

Several shots were fired during the incident.

One man in his early 20s was killed.

His body remains at the scene.

Another man, aged in his mid 20s, was seriously injured.

He's been removed to Beaumont Hospital and his condition is described as serious.
