Police investigating the murder of a woman in Belfast yesterday are continuing to appeal for information.

51-year-old Anne O'Neill was discovered in Ardmore Avenue, Finaghy yesterday morning.

Two men aged 23 and 27 remain in custody having been arrested on suspicion of her murder.

PSNI detectives are particularly appealing for anyone who has CCTV installed in the area to contact them.

Speaking about the discovery of Ms O'Neill's body, Detective Chief Inspector Geoffrey Boyce explained: “Police received a report of a woman in distress in Ardmore Avenue. Police responded and a woman was discovered injured in the rear garden of a property in the area.

"Despite attempts by emergency services at the scene the woman died from her injuries."
