Two men arrested in connection with the shooting of a PSNI officer in North Belfast have been “released unconditionally.”
Police said up to ten shots were fired by a high-velocity rifle in the attack at a petrol station on Sunday night.
A community police officer suffered a number of gunshot wounds to his arm in the attack and underwent emergency surgery in the Royal Victoria Hospital
Detectives are treating the attack as attempted murder and believe it was carried out by dissident republicans.
The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has condemned the shooting, calling it an "outrageous and cowardly act".
"Anyone with any relevant information should pass it on to the PSNI immediately. I hope the officer involved makes a full and swift recovery", Mr Kenny said.
A 30-year-man - arrested on Monday evening - remains in police custody.
