Two men have been injured in a gas explosion in south County Dublin.

A gas mains is believed to have gone on fire off the Knocklyon Road this afternoon.

Emergency services are at the scene and Knocklyon Road is currently closed to traffic in both directions between Firhouse Road and Scholarstown Road.

Neither of the men is believed to have been seriously hurt.
