Two men are due in court this morning, charged in connection with a robbery at a filling station in Killybegs, Co Donegal.

At around 4.50pm yesterday afternoon, a quantity of cash was stolen when two men threatened staff at the garage with iron bars.

A responding garda car was rammed as the gang fled the scene.

Shortly afterwards the fleeing car crashed outside Donegal Town, and three occupants escaped on foot.

Following a foot chase, two men were arrested and the money was recovered.

They are due at a special sitting of Sligo District Court this morning.

Gardaí are still seeking a third man in connection with the raid.
