Two men are due in court charged in connection with the robbery of a post office and another premises in Tallaght, County Dublin yesterday afternoon.
At around 4.15pm, a man entered the post office in Glenview - allegedly armed with a hatchet - and threatened staff and customers before leaving the scene in a car, with a small amount of cash.
A short time later, a man entered a premises on Old Bawn Way and threatened staff with a hatchet. He fled the scene in a car with a large amount of cash.
Gardaí found the car and chased two men on foot. The men, aged 32 and 34, were arrested and were charged at Tallaght Garda station this morning.
Gardaí also seized cash and a hatchet.
The two men are due to appear before Dublin District Court this morning.
