Two men have appeared in court in Dundalk, charged in connection with burglary related offences.
The men, aged 33 and 34, appeared before a special sitting of Dundalk District Court this morning after being charged by gardaí.
The arrests were made yesterday evening after gardaí investigated a burglary in the Carroll Mean area of Dundalk, which took place at around 5.30pm.
Gardaí stopped and searched a car, and arrested the two men.
They were detained at Dundalk Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The two men have been remanded in custody, and are due to appear again at court at a later date.
The arrests and charges were made as part of Operation Thor, the special national Garda anti-crime programme.
