Two people have been airlifted to hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Killorglin, Co Kerry. 

The crash between a van and an SUV happened on the N70 at Tullig Beg shortly after 3.15pm on Friday, April 26th. 

The drivers of both vehicles, a woman in her 50s and a man in his 30s, were airlifted from Kerry to Cork University Hospital.

Their injuries were described as serious. 

The road at Killorglin has been reopened following forensic examination. 

Gardaí in Kerry are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward. 

They are particularly interested in anyone with dash-cam footage who was in the area at the time.
