Two men have died in separate road crashes in counties Waterford and Galway.
A man in his 70s died after the car he was driving collided with another at Moonvoy, Tramore in Co. Waterford at around 5pm yesterday evening.
The driver of the second car was seriously injured and taken to Waterford Regional Hospital.
Pedestrian dies in Galway
Meanwhile in Galway a 51-year-old male pedestrian died after he was hit by a car at Kylebrack East in Loughrea at around 9pm last night.
Nobody else was injured in the incident.
Gardai at Ballinasloe are appealing for witnesses.
Separately a baby boy is in a critical condition at the Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar following a serious road crash in Longford yesterday.
3 adults and 4 children were in the vehicle when it crashed on the Lanesborough Road just outside Ballymahon and all were hospitalised.
