An investigation has been launched into the discovery of a body in Cavan today.

The man's remains were recovered from Lough Ramor.

It follows a search for a man missing from the Asbourne area of Meath since Good Friday.

A post mortem will be carried out on the body tomorrow.

Separately a man's body has been recovered from the River Boyne in Trim. This discovery also followed a search for a missing man.
