Two teenagers have appeared in court in connection with an incident on Irish Rail this morning.
They were arrested in connection with an incident this morning. The train was stopped in its tracks after trouble broke out on the 5:40am Longford to Dublin service.
Gardai at Leixlip were called when a number of people started smashing windows and pulling the emergency cords on board. The train was stopped outside of Louisa Bridge Station in Leixlip.
The people involved then got off the train and fled up the tracks with the gardai in pursuit.
The men (aged 18 and 19) were arrested and have since appeared before a special sitting of Kilcock District Court.
They have since been released on bail.
Barry Kenny from Irish Rail says the incident was a difficult one for other passengers.
