Following the Greek coast guard discovering drowned bodies off a separate island earlier today, the Turkish coast guard has just reported a similar scene.
The grim discovery was made near the seaside town of Ayvalik this morning, after they drowned while trying to reach the Greek island of Lesbos in a wooden boat.
Approximately two dozen others were rescued - after using mobile phones to call for help when they began to sink.
Separately 13-people are still missing after their rubber dingy went down near the island of Kalymnos overnight - three children are among the four confirmed dead. The full details of that story can be found here.
