TODAY

A cold start to the day with frost and fog patches soon clearing.

Spells of winter sunshine will develop fairly widely, but it will become cloudy across southern and western coastal counties later.

Staying cooler than normal, with highest temperatures of 6C to 9C, in mostly moderate southerly breezes – which will be stronger up along Atlantic coasts.

TONIGHT

Outbreaks of rain will affect Atlantic counties tonight, gradually moving into many other areas before morning.

Parts of the east will stay dry.

Lowest temperatures of 4C to 8C, in mostly moderate southerly breezes – still stronger up along the Atlantic coastline.
