The trial of a doctor accused of sexually assaulting two patients at a clinic in north Dublin has been told the possibility of two "cooked up stories" is unlikely.
Both women claim they were touched inappropriately after attending the clinic on separate dates in February 2013.
The women were 22 and 49 at the time of these allegations. The younger of the two claims the accused felt her left breast and rubbed her nipple after pulling her bra down during a chest examination.
The second alleged victim claims she screamed and pushed the doctor away after she felt his hand on her breast.
Both told gardai he seemed aroused at the time.
Lawyers for the State told the jurors today that two 'cooked up stories' in the space of two days by two patients who did not know each other was impossible
It was more likely the women are telling the truth, they were told.
The doctor in the dock - married father of three - denies the charges and insists he acted appropriately at all times.
The jurors have heard all the evidence and will consider a verdict this afternoon.
