There's been much speculation about where former Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni is heading next. But for now at least, he seems happy to try his hand at acting.

In his first starring role, he features in a new Fiat ad, lounging on the famous Copacabana beach in Brazil with countryman Bruno Pizzul.

Unable to kick old habits, he imparts some sage advice to a local kid playing football. "Try to channel the spirit of Conor Sammon," I assume he says, though admittedly my Italian is a bit rusty.
