Gardai say they’re treating the death of an 8 year old boy at his north Cork home as a “tragic incident”.

Both men were brought to Beaumont Hospital where one of them – aged in his 30′s was pronounced dead.

The second man is being treated for his injuries.

Gardai say they’re examining a burnt out car found a short time later on the nearby Hole in the Wall Road.

Both scenes are sealed off pending a forensic technical examination.

The High Court has approved the appointment of an examiner to an award winning Co Tipperary based family food company.

The court heard three investors have expressed interest in the company whose financial problems mostly stem from high start up costs and lack of bank funding.

It’s run by Gary McEvoy whose wife Jane recently starred as a contestant in the UK television show The Apprentice.
