Vassiliki Tanou, Greece's top Supreme Court judge, has been appointed interim Prime Minister of Greece before elections in September, the BBC reports.
Ms Tanou was appointed after attempts to form a coalition government failed, with President Prokopis Pavlopoulos naming her to the position in the wake of the resignation of former Prime Minister, Syriza leader Alex Tsipras.
The 65-year-old will hold the position until elections which are expected to take place on either September 20th or 27th.
Greece's top Supreme Court judge, Vassiliki Thanou, has been appointed caretaker prime minister ahead of early elections next month.
