A toddler has been found with serious injuries at a house in Cork.

Emergency services were called to a house at Boreenmanna Road in Cork city at around 5.30am on Friday morning.

The two-year-old is in a serious condition at Cork University Hospital.

A house has been sealed off and a technical examination will get underway later.

Gardaí have launched an investigation.
