Mist and fog will clear early this morning and many places will be dry with good sunny spells. Scattered heavy showers will develop this afternoon, mainly in parts of the west and southwest with the risk of isolated thunderstorms. Cloud will thicken in eastern areas later with perhaps a little patchy rain developing in places this evening.
Warm by afternoon with highs of 16 to 20 degrees, a little cooler on coasts with sea breezes.

Scattered showers in parts of the west and southwest will gradually die away tonight, but cloudier in parts of the east and north with rain and drizzle developing overnight. Misty with fog in places and overnight lows of 6 to 11 degrees, coolest in western areas where skies will be clearest and light winds.
