Many parts of the country dry to start off today, but outbreaks of rain in the southwest will steadily extend northeastwards through the course of the morning.
The band of rain will clear the south during the afternoon, with a few brighter spells developing there later, while it turns heavy over Ulster.
Highest temperatures between 13 and 16 degrees. Winds will be light to moderate southerly.
Tonight
The rain will linger through the night across the northern half of the country, turning heavy at times, while further south will be largely dry with clear spells.
Lowest temperatures 5 or 6 degrees in the north, between 7 and 9 degrees in the south.
Southerly winds will begin to veer northerly overnight, becoming fresh in the north in the morning.
