Teenage boy dies after collapsing during football game in Dublin

A young boy playing for Belvedere Football Club has died this afternoon.

According to RTE, he collapsed shortly after the start of a lunchtime match against St Kevin's Boys in Santry.

He has not yet been named.

Catherine Murphy is insisting her sources are "very reliable" in relation to her claims about businessman Denis O'Brien's banking arrangements with IBRC

The Independent TD made the claims under privilege in the Dail last week.

However media outlets are prevented from reporting her remarks because of a High Court injunction.

The Central Bank has been accused of taking the biscuit with its latest food bill.

According to today's Sunday Business Post €55,000 was spent by the bank last year on biscuits.

The total is part of a sweet deal for the bank's 1,250 staff which sees their food, tea, coffee and refreshments subsidised to the tune of over one million euro.

Escaped British criminal contacts media from Costa del Sol

A violent criminal who managed to walk out of a high-security prison has revealed he has fled to the Costa del Sol.

Haroon Ahmed has been the subject of a manhunt since absconding from HMP Dovegate in Staffordshire on Wednesday afternoon.

But after making contact with his family Sky News has spoken via telephone to the 26-year-old, who revealed he had jokingly asked an officer if he could go home at the end of visiting time.
