Electric Ireland has to refund €13m to its customers

Electric Ireland is going to payout €13m in compensation to customers who it overcharged across a five-year period when it miscalculated how much it should be billing customers for a levy on electricity bills.

It overcharged for its Public Service Obligation (PSO) charge between 2008 and 2013 - this fund is used to provide guaranteed prices for energy from wind farms.

The murder charge against Co Cavan nanny Aisling Brady McCarthy, who had been accused of murdering a one-year-old baby in her care, has been dropped.

It comes after the medical examiner’s office reversed an earlier statement and concluded that the death was not a homicide.

Widow of Jason Corbett "prepared to take every legal step" to get children back

A relative of Molly Martens, the wife of deceased Limerick man Jason Corbett, says she will continue to fight to get her step-children back to the United States.

Ms Martens and her father have been described as 'persons of interest' in the investigation.

The 39-year-old father of two died after a violent incident at his home in the US earlier this month.

McDonald's is launching a new addition to its Irish menu: the McMór, which will feature Ballymaloe Relish and Charleville Cheddar.
