Gardaí investigating following discovery of body of a woman in Co Louth
Gardai have launched an investigation after a woman's body was found with serious head injuries in a house in Co Louth.
The discovery was made near Hackballscross by a family member at around 3.45pm this afternoon.
The scene has been sealed off and the State Pathologist has been notified.
Gardaí are understood to be investigating if the death is linked to a fatal collision on the M1 motorway earlier this afternoon, in which a man in his 60s died.

An initial post-mortem of Bobbi Kristina Brown has found no significant injuries and no obvious underlying cause of death, says a medical examiner.
Ms Brown, the daughter of late singer Whitney Houston, died on Sunday after spending months in a medically induced coma.
The 22-year-old was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Atlanta home on 31 January.

Irish cyclist Dan Martin feels there has been a bit of a "witch-hunt" against Team Sky during the Tour de France.
