A candlelight vigil has taken place this evening at the scene of Saturday’s fire in Carrickmines in which ten people were killed.

Meanwhile 15 survivors of the blaze are being prevented from accessing the temporary accommodation site by residents who are mounting a blockade.

Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Council officials have met with residents of Carrickmines who have objected to survivors of the fatal fire moving into their neighbourhood.

Cutting out the middle man has Domino's profits booming

Domino's Pizza Group has reported strong third quarter results, like-for-like sales increased by 14.1% in the 13 weeks to the end of September, this performance has been backed by improved mobile sales.

The company said that it is "very encouraged" by the third quarter performance in Ireland. Increased online orders and improved economic conditions have led to more sales.
