Thunder and lightning have left thousands of homes without power nationwide.
The outages are mainly in parts of Donegal, Roscommon, Leitrim, Longford and Cavan.
ESB crews have been out since this morning working to restore power across the country.
The faults are all expected to be repaired by tonight.

Meanwhile, a status orange thunder alert remains in effect for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Offaly, Westmeath and Meath.
The Met Éireann warning is valid until 1am tomorrow morning.
Heavy showers are also expected over north Leinster, Ulster and Connacht overnight.
