Vote of no confidence

The government will today use three hours of Dáil time to table a motion of confidence in itself.

The motion comes in response to plans by Sinn Féín to table a motion of no confidence in Enda Kenny.

The High Court is to rule on a claim by Real IRA leader Michael McKevit that he is entitled to one third remission of his sentence for good behaviour.

The Obama administration tried to suppress the report, warning US interests overseas were at risk following the publication.
