- Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Charlie Flanagan is in Belfast once again, attending political talks aimed at settling long running issues; from flags and parades to dealing with the region’s troubled past.

Former US Senator Gary Hart was in Belfast yesterday for his first day on the job since being appointed United States envoy and Senator and he had several meetings with different actors in the talks yesterday.There is still hope that these talks can bring about some form of agreement, following the colpase of the Haass talks earlier this year.

- TDs involved in the Right2Water campaign will announce the full list of 50 nationwide protests against water charges that are due to take place on Saturday, November 1.

The locations will be mapped out, including almost 20 demonstrations in Dublin.The announcement is happening at 11.30am at Dáil Eireann and we can expect reaction throughout the day.

- ‘The Guarantee’ the film telling the story of the banking guarantee made by the Irish government opens on Thursday.

Director of 'The Guarantee' Colin Murphy joined Shane Coleman on The Sunday Show on Sunday last, while in the below trailer you’ll notice Newstalk's own Chris Donoghue making a cameo appearance
