US President Barack Obama to announce major immigration reform
Campaigners for undocumented Irish immigrants will have their eyes on the White House late tonight, where the US president is to announce reforms on immigration.
Barack Obama is due to make an address to the nation at 1am Irish time.
He will then travel to Las Vegas to outline the plans in detail.
Water charges saga continues
The Government's revised water charges plan passed a vote in the Dáil tonight by 78 votes to 52.
However, Taoiseach Enda Kenny is expected to be met by water charge protesters when he arrives in Cork tomorrow.
Meanwhile, gardaí are investigating a reported death threat to Noel Coonan TD. It is reported the threat was phoned through to the deputy's Tipperary office after he compared water charges protesters to ISIS militants in the Dáil earlier today.
Ebola test results due in New York
The results of Ebola tests on a person being treated in New York are expected overnight or early tomorrow.
The person recently traveled to the US from Mali.
Officials have said "due to the individual's travel history and symptoms, the patient has been isolated."
