Gardaí have charged two men and a woman in connection with an armed robbery at a shop in Tullamore County Offaly.
Gardaí said that two males entered a shop in Cappincur, Tullamore at about 9:25pm on Tuesday evening.
The men were armed with a knife and a hammer and they left with a sum of money after threatening staff.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
The men made their getaway in a car with a third person and drove towards Dublin on the motorway.
Three people, two males and one female were later arrested near Clonard, County Meath after ramming a Garda vehicle.
Gardaí recovered the property taken and the weapons used.
Two men and woman – all in their 20s – are appearing before Portlaoise District Court this morning.
