Three people will appear in court tomorrow following a €1.6m drugs seizure.

A vehicle was stopped and searched on Conyingham Road in Islandbridge yesterday as part of an intelligence led operation targeting drug traffickers operating in the Ballyfermot area.

Heroin and cocaine were discovered, and a 45-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

During a follow up search in Ballyfermot, more of the class A drugs were discovered as well as cannabis herb.

A 24-year-old man and a woman aged 21 were arrested.

All three are being held at Lucan and Finglas Garda stations.
