Three men have been arrested following a stabbing in Portaferry, Co Down.

A 21-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen after a fight broke out between a number of people in the Church Street area at around 1.30am today.

His condition is believed to be serious but stable.

The arrested males, two aged 22 and one aged 37, remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
