Several despondent-looking 'puppies' have been placed across Dublin today, leaving many commuters wondering what they are for.
Well, one animal welfare organisation is taking the 'a puppy's not just for Christmas' message and putting it to good use throughout the capital by placing canine props in prominent public places.
Dogs Trust Ireland is launching its The Puppy Promise campaign - asking people to promise not to gift a dog this Christmas.
