As part of the international 16 Days of Action targeting violence against women, the Irish Consortium on Gender Based Violence held a symposium in Dublin, discussing the cultural and circumstantial issues that affect gender based violence.

Tom Meagher, whose wife Jill was raped and murdered in Australia in 2012, spoke about the 'everyday violence' that is inflicted on women.
