McLaren will host the world debut of its 675LT in Geneva next week and from looking at the statistics behind this machine it is certainly clear that this car is all about performance.
According to McLaren the 675LT will be the “the most track-focused, yet road legal, model in the McLaren Super Series.” This beast can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 2.9 seconds and it’ll reach 200km/h in 7.9 seconds. Top speed of the McLaren 675LT is 330km/h.
Weight reduction was a major factor in the making of the 675LT and it weighs over 100kg lighter than its big brother, the 1997 McLaren F1 GTR “Longtail”. To achieve weight loss the car uses a lot of carbon fibre in the body panels and the engine is lightweight, as is the chassis and body structure parts. To shift extra weight they have removed the air conditioning, but it will be available to those who want it at no extra cost.
The 675LT will be debuted in Geneva on March 3 2015.
