The mother of an autistic girl has told how they were forced to get off a flight that made an emergency landing because the airline said her daughter was "disruptive".

The Court of Appeal stopped the case before it went to a full hearing, after the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) argued it was an abuse of process.

He is serving life for the murder of his wife Rachel O'Reilly. The mother of two was bludgeoned to death at her home in the Naul in north Dublin in October 2004.

Earlier Gardai issued an appeal to Baby Maria's mother to come forward - saying she has nothing to fear.

Maria was found on Friday in Steelstown inside a black plastic bag, which was inside a paper Marks and Spencer Bag.
