Bruce Jenner: "to all intents and purposes I am a woman"

Bruce Jenner, the former Olympic champion and current star of reality TV, has revealed she is planning to live life as a woman.

Her transgender transition was the centrepiece of a much anticipated two-hour programme on the American network ABC.

She told Diane Sawyer that "to all intents and purposes I am a woman" and said she had felt that way since childhood.

Support for Government parties falls in latest opinion poll

There's been a substantial increase in support for Sinn Féin over the past month according to a new opinion poll.

The RED C survey for tomorrow's Sunday Business Post also sees the coalition parties lose some of their recent gains.

The poll - conducted on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week among 1,006 adults - also assessed those in favour and against the same-sex marriage referendum.

Fianna Fáil Ard Fheis: Martin calls Cowen hecklers "fascists"

The Fianna Fáil leader dubbed protesters who heckled former Taoiseach Brian Cowen and called him "a scumbag" as fascists.

A video emerged online earlier in the week if the incident.

Speaking at the Fianna Fáil Ard Fheis in Dublin Micheál Martin says in our democracy people have a right to go about their business without such protest.

A new world record has been set in Dublin today for the largest ever human 'Love Heart'.

540 people have taken part in the event - which took place in Smithfield in Dublin city - in support of a 'Yes' vote in next month's Marriage Referendum.

It was part of the The Union of Students in Ireland's campaign for marriage equality.

Three-year-old girl and mother found safe and well

Gardaí cancelled a Child Rescue Ireland (CRI) Alert, after a mother and her three-year-old child were found safe and well.

A CRI Alert was issued after they were reported missing from their home in Rathfarnham in Dublin this morning. However, the alert was cancelled a few hours later.
