Queues formed early this morning outside H&M stores around the world as the brand's limited-edition Balmain x H&M collection launched.

The third and final day of Web Summit 2015 is underway. This is the last time the event will take place on Irish soil for at least three years as it moves to Lisbon from 2016. While there are many big names from the world of technology at the RDS, one of the issues causing the biggest stir was the price of the food.

Garda informant says he attended IRA meetings with Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams

A former IRA member and garda informant has claimed everyone knows that Gerry Adams was an "extremely senior member of the IRA".

Sean O'Callaghan says the Sinn Féin President cannot admit to being a member because he would be arrested immediately.

He claims he attended IRA meetings with the Sinn Féin leader.

Sinn Féin has dismissed the claims, calling them "outlandish".

Woman forgets buying lottery ticket, finds it in some papers, instantly becomes a millionaire

A woman in Michigan discovered she had won a lottery jackpot after finding the winning ticket while sorting through some old post – and just claimed her million-dollar prize.

Linda Tuttle had purchased the ticket on May 26th this year, and promptly forgot about it – failing to ever even bother checking the numbers after the televised draw. Returning to the convenience store where she sometimes purchases lottery tickets, the cashier mentioned that that a winning ticket had been recently bought in the shop, but the winnings had not yet been claimed.

Man jailed 13 years for trying to abduct girl says he has been beaten up in prison

A convicted sex offender who tried to abduct a girl in Co Laois claims he has been assaulted in prison for what he did.

Michael Martin of Shandon Court, Yellow Road in Waterford City was jailed for 13 years today in what the judge described as an "attack on family life".

"Disturbing" was the word used by Judge Keenan Johnson to describe what Martin did near Cullahill village in Laois on March 4th last.
