Ireland's best train station for 2015 has been named

Dundalk's Clarke Station has been named overall best train station in Ireland at the annual Iarnród Éireann Best Station Awards.

They were presented by Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe.

Irish Rail says the station plays a key role in the commuter town of Dundalk and the surrounding area.

Australia dumps its honours system after Prince Philip 'knightmare'

Australia is scrapping knights and dames from its honours system months after a knighthood for Britain's Prince Philip sparked a public backlash.

The country's new prime minister Malcolm Turnbull, a well-known republican, said Queen Elizabeth II had approved the request for the titles to be dumped from the national system.

O'Connell was stretchered off at half time in Ireland's eventual World Cup win against France and described the pain today at an event in Dublin. He described how the pain came from his sciatic nerve due to bleeding and bruising caused by the tendon injury.
