WATCH: Passengers capture footage onboard Aer Lingus plane forced to make emergency landing
Investigations are underway into the technical difficulties on board an Aer Lingus plane that made an emergency landing in New York.
The Shannon-bound flight returned to the ground just 15 minutes after taking off from the same airport, after it reported a number of technical problems.
Emergency services attended the scene as the flight landed again at around 7.30pm local time.
Passengers were bused back to the terminal building and no-one was injured in the incident.
Aer Lingus says flight EI 110 returned back to JFK "due to a technical fault with the aircraft".

Despite the very close call, Ms Perry kept her cool and promptly requested that the studio come back to her in a few moments.
"Sorry, we have a bit of an issue here, you may want to come back to me..." the reporter told news anchor Eileen Dunne.

"This is a complete bombshell" - Mayo GAA secretary on today's turmoil
Earlier today, reports emerged that Mayo players had given a vote of no-confidence in the current senior management team of Pat Holmes and Noel Connelly.
Tonight, Mayo county board secretary Vincent Neary joined Off The Ball to give his take on events, while former Mayo star Billy Joe Padden also shared his reaction.
"This is a complete bombshell to the board and obviously to the Mayo management and indeed to their families," he said.
"We were due to meet the two players' reps after the championship concluded for us and that meeting will still go ahead. It's scheduled for next Thursday and we're just awaiting confirmation of that from the two players' reps. Obviously, that has become more urgent than ever because we need to tease out this total bombshell."

She had moved to Los Angeles in 2009 and worked as a beauty therapist.
